Buster the Test Anxiety Crusher: Buster Helps Abby and Michael Pass Their Test
A fun book to teach kids (ages 5-11) about anxiety and mindful techniques to use in the classroom and at home to help overcome test taking fears.
Book Synopsis:
This book was written for youth who dread the thought of testing days. Anxiety is real and the pressure and stress placed on students to excel on exams and standardized tests is difficult for many students to handle. Working for the school system, I have seen many students struggle with similar feelings. So, I decided to write this book with the assistance of my own children to support students, parents, and teachers. This book is also intended to empower students from an early age with strategies to prevent, overcome, and manage anxious feelings while focusing on preparing, developing a positive attitude, and providing useful strategies to assist students with having a successful overall testing experience. Students need to know that they have the knowledge, inner mental strength, and coping tools to overcome various fears that show up in their life. It is important for students to recognize, talk, and express their feelings instead of holding them inside or demonstrating behavior problems such as acting out, avoidance, or escape behaviors as a result of existing anxious feelings. “
